Tumbling Blocks, a project carried in collaboration by Designer
Cafe and Smart
Experience Actuator, is an interactive shopping window that enhances customer
experience. Tumbling Blocks is a product to enhance the visablitiy and the unique
selling point of the store.
This is a playful way to draw attention to your shop. It also shows the outside world where the shop stands for in a non-advertising way.
This installation traces the direction of the passers-by and reacts to it, as you turn the blocks by moving to the left or right, the outfit of the gril changes.
Our target group was upper middleclass women, between the ages of 35 to 40 years.
My role was to define the content and to design the way we would communicate the content
with our target group.
I had to keep in mind to make the interactions minimal, as not to scare off our target group. With this in mind I designed the interaction of the blocks.
I did the photoshoot and photo editing for the final product. Also, during the project I took it upon myself to keep the entire team on track.
